What is Happiness?

Six Minute English discussed this very question on April 9. Listen yourselves and try to answer the lead question: which is the happiest country?

Hi! My answers:

1. Today Rebecca is happy because it’s spring and the lighter evenings and the sunnier days make her happier.

2. She is happiest when she is with her friends and family, and also when she’s listening music.

3. What makes the first speaker happy is slowing down, because we live in a very speedy world and we often forget to take time.

4. Whenever we are happy very often we can't enjoy happiness because we know it's going to end.

5. To him, happiness is contentment and satisfaction with a few moments of joy.

6. Good relationships and a fulfilling and satisfying job.

7. The second speaker don't mention "material possessions".

8. Above a basic level of living for which we need money for food and shelter.

9. Britain's position in the Happiness List is 41!

Aaagghhh! That should be "doesn't"!

hi guys! I'd like to practice my writing so let me write few lines. I hope you'll suggest me any mistake I make - surely a lot!
"I'll spend the first of may in Rome,may be at the concert in S. john square. I don't like to be stuck in a big crowd, so I'll be around with a cold drink to enjoy music. next time I'll have the oppotunity to listen "six minute english" I'll ansewr to every questions. now I can't because I am at work, and I must leave you! bye!"

Hi everybody, the following are my answers:

1. becouse she starts to feel the Spring's melody: actually "the light evening and the sunnier days" makes she feel more happy.

2. hanging out with friends and family; listen music.

3. slowin' down in order to look and assess his life.

4. is that you know happiness isn't in your day by day life; you know it is going away and so you can't fully enjoy it.

5. he always tries to be happy.

6. good relationship and having fulfilling and satisfying job.

4. the problem is that we aren't able to enjoy our happiness because we believe that it will end soon.
5. According to him we have to be pleased with our situation and to enjoy with life.
